Bhuvanesh Srinivasan, from India, did his PhD at University of Rennes1 after Mamaself. Read his story!
On 10 December 2018, Bhuvanesh Srinivasan, an alumnus of MaMaSELF Master program (Cohort 2013 – 2015), successfully defended his PhD thesisentitled “Novel Chalcogenide based Glasses, Ceramics and Polycrystalline Materials for Thermoelectric Application” at University of Rennes 1. His PhD thesis was carried out in the framework of European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN grant (CoACH-ETN program). His academic advisors were Prof. Bruno Bureau and Dr. Catherine Boussard from CNRS, University of Rennes 1 and his industrial advisor was Prof. Mike Reece from Nanoforce Tech. Ltd., Queen Mary University of London. His PhD thesis work has produced 9 publications so far.

Bhuvanesh did his first year of Master MaMaSELF at University of Rennes 1and his Master1 internship was at ETH-Zurich, Switzerland. He moved to LMU, Munich for his second year of masters and he completed his mobility at EPFL, Lausanne, where he did his master thesis on cement materials. He has contributed to 2 co-authored publications during his master thesis tenure at EPFL.
In January 2019, Bhuvanesh was nominated by CNRS for a JSPS postdoctoral fellowship in Japan (NIMS, Tsukuba). He is expected to start his tenure in Japanfrom April, 2019.
